This term we have been reading the book called Dawn Raid. It’s about a girl called
Sofia That has 3 brothers named tavita, lenny and ethan. 2 of sofia’s brothers ruined her
birthday with their friend Archie. Lenny,Archie and Ethan ruined Sofia’s Birthday by
playing darts while Tavita was holding the dart board and it hit tavitas eye! When the dart
hit tavitas eye the boys started screaming so then tavitas mum came running to them to
see what happened and she seen a dart in his eye then she sent archie home to go get
his mum. Archie’s mum went over to there house and pulled the dart out of his eye, as
soon as it was out they rushed him to the hospital and he got a growling from the doctor.
Dad though Ethan and Archie should have gone with them. Since that happened everyone
forgot about sofia’s birthday except for there dad, there dad gave her a diary for her
birthday and told her “It’s to write your dreams and hopes in” but she wanted to get these
groovy go go boots so that she could look like Emma Peel. Although she really wanted
the groovy go go boots she still wrote in her diary. On her birthday she was meant to go
to McDonalds but she didn't end up going so her dad promised her that they will go on the
weekend. When sofia walked outside she saw her mom and tavita sobbing because mom told ethan and lenny to empty the rubbish bin and put the garbage in the garage. When the boys got to the garage lenny found a jerry can full of gas and thought it would be a good idea to make a campfire in the garage. When they found a piece of paper on the ground they lit it and they accidentally lit the curtain on fire as well. As they panicked ethan quickly threw the paper in the bin,soon enough the bin started melting, Dad came running to see what all that yelling in the garage was about. When he opened the garage door dad sore the boys running around and screaming, dad instantly threw the bin outside as the boys signed in relief. Dad turned around and growled them as mom tavita start sobbing about the new bin, Few days later it was speech day, Mr. Morrison said the names in alphabetical order. I was happy but said at the same time I wasn’t because I wasn’t first but I was the second to last one which I freaked out about a lot, When it was my turn I tired to read it as fast as I can, When I got up to the cabbage part everyone started laughing. I could tell Mr. Morrison was impressed. After class time Mr. Morrison ask “Hey Sofia nice speech, I was wondering if you could do it infront of assembly on friday?” My heart felt like it dropped to the floor. I immediately said “No thanks!” But Mr. Morrison just said “Well too bad you're doing it, Bye!” And walked away. I was freaking out. When it was friday there were 2 other kids performing there speech maybe they had good speeches too.
